HDPE Geomembrane Export from Dubai
Infinite Leisure has supplied HDPE lining systems from Dubai since 2013. Alongside our UAE supply and installation work, we export geomembrane by full and part container loads to buyers who handle their own installation.
This page covers what we ship, how it loads, what paperwork comes with it and how to get a quotation. If you need material for a project inside the UAE, the homepage covers supply and installation.
What we export
Smooth HDPE geomembrane in six thicknesses, all on 7-metre wide rolls, manufactured from virgin resin with carbon black, antioxidant and UV stabiliser. Textured surface is available to order.
| Thickness | Mil | Roll length | Area per roll |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.75mm | 30 | 280 m | 1,960 m² |
| 1.0mm | 40 | 210 m | 1,470 m² |
| 1.5mm | 60 | 140 m | 980 m² |
| 2.0mm | 80 | 105 m | 735 m² |
| 2.5mm | 100 | 84 m | 588 m² |
| 3.0mm | 120 | 70 m | 490 m² |
Full test values against ASTM D 6693, D 4833, D 5397 and GRI GM 11 are in our technical specification. We also export non-woven geotextile as a cushion layer, and wedge and extrusion welding equipment for buyers installing with their own crews.
Roll weights and container loading
Every roll weighs approximately the same — around 1,380 kg — regardless of thickness.
That surprises most first-time buyers. It happens because roll length scales inversely with thickness: a 0.75mm roll runs 280m, a 3mm roll runs 70m, and both contain 1.47 m³ of polyethylene. At a density of 0.940 g/cc that is roughly 1,380 kg per roll before core and packaging.
The practical consequence for export planning: your container quantity is governed by roll count, not by thickness. Ordering 3mm instead of 0.75mm doesn’t change how many rolls fit — it changes how many square metres those rolls represent.
| Roll length | 7 m |
| Roll weight | ≈ 1,380 kg |
| Roll diameter | ≈ 0.55–0.60 m |
[CONFIRM BEFORE PUBLISHING] Add here: rolls per 40ft container, rolls per 20ft, and whether you offer part-container consolidation. Your freight forwarder will give you exact figures — don’t estimate these publicly.
Documentation supplied
Every export shipment includes:
- Mill test certificates against the ASTM methods in our specification, issued per roll batch
- Thickness records per roll
- Commercial invoice and packing list
- Certificate of origin [CONFIRM you supply this]
- Bill of lading
If your consultant or project specification requires additional third-party testing, tell us at quotation stage rather than after despatch.
Lead times
Stock thicknesses held in Dubai are ready for container loading within [CONFIRM: X working days] of order confirmation. Non-stock thicknesses and textured material typically run two to three weeks before despatch.
Sea transit time depends on destination and routing — we’ll confirm it with your quotation once we know the discharge port.
Commercial terms
[THIS SECTION NEEDS YOUR REAL TERMS — I have deliberately not invented them]
Fill in:
- Incoterms you work on (EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF)
- Loading port
- Minimum order quantity
- Payment terms (TT in advance, LC at sight, part payment)
- Currency
This section is the reason serious buyers will contact you rather than a competitor. Vague terms mean an extra email before anyone can even compare quotes. Specific terms mean a buyer can evaluate you immediately.
Where we ship
We export regularly across the GCC — Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait — and quote for East and West Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Shipping from Dubai gives most of these destinations short transit times and straightforward routing.
If your country isn’t listed, send us the requirement anyway. Whether we can quote depends on the destination port and the order size, not on a fixed list.
[NOTE — read before publishing] Your previous pages included Iran and Syria. Both are subject to significant international sanctions. I have deliberately excluded them. Speak to whoever handles your trade compliance before naming either in any form.
How to request an export quotation`
Send us the following and we’ll quote within one working day:
- Thickness and total area in square metres. Not sure which thickness? The thickness guide sets out what suits each application, and the pond liner calculator works out area and roll count from your dimensions.
- Destination port and country
- Incoterm you want quoted
- Timing — when you need it on site

Frequently asked questions
Minimum order depends on thickness, destination and how you want it shipped. Contact us with your requirement and we'll confirm what applies to your order.
Sixteen rolls in a 40ft high cube container, around 22 tonnes. The count is the same for every thickness, since roll weight doesn't vary with gauge — see the coverage table above for what that means in square metres.
Get in touch with your quantity and destination and we'll tell you what's workable for your shipment.
Yes. Non-woven geotextile ships alongside the membrane, and we supply wedge and extrusion welding machines for buyers installing with their own crews.
Mill test certificates against the ASTM methods listed in our technical specification, issued per roll batch, plus thickness records.
Our installation crews work within the UAE. For export orders we supply material and documentation; installation is handled by your contractor. Our method statement sets out the deployment, welding and testing sequence we use, and is free for your crew to work from.
Loading within [X days] for stock thicknesses, two to three weeks for non-stock. Sea transit depends on destination — confirmed with your quotation.
0.75mm to 1mm for garden ponds and light containment, 1.5mm for irrigation reservoirs, lakes and canal lining, 2mm and above for landfill and heavy containment. The thickness guide goes into more detail.
